Hello Barbara and Trudy,
I have been enjoying your Angelspeake newsletter and I have a metaphysical question for the angels:
Are our lives pretty much pre-destined to turn out the way they do or do we truly have freedom of choice?
I'd be very happy if you would ask them for me.
The angels answer:
Dear Pam, we will say yes to both of your questions. All people have free will, which simply means that you choose the course of your life. Before you are born you decide nearly every circumstance of importance that you will need to place yourself where you can do the most work, be with others who will help you, and to learn lessons you have to complete or begin in this life. Your higher self (soul) and your angels are committed to helping you stay on track with these plans. There is a lot to do in a short period of time, and you have legions of beings on this side to help you.
So the answer to your question is, yes, your life is pre-destined (to a point) but it is you who have chosen the destination. You have much freedom of choice as to how. For instance, if in this life you are to work with animals, you might become a veterinarian, a rancher, work at a race track, or become a dog breeder. That would be your choice as to “how”. Many other choices would also be available to you, but for the big picture, we do everything we can to keep our promises to you so that you will be on course throughout your life. It is only when you begin to go away from the path that you have entrusted us to help you stay on does your life become miserable and difficult. But also remember this…at different phases of your life, you will walk your path according to your growth. How you walk your walk is ever changing.
This question is in response to Pam's question in the latest newsletter. If our lives are predestined in the sense that we have already chosen circumstances before birth in which we will learn valuable lessons, does that mean that our lessons are guaranteed to be learned. And if not, do we keep on coming here until we learn them?
Also just a thank you message to Trudy and Barbara for creating such beautiful newsletters, they truly make my day.
From Dear Becky,
It doesn't matter when you learn your lessons. God is infinitely patient and if it takes one lifetime or 100, He knows you will eventually learn it. That is what Free Will is about! Some of your lessons take many lifetimes to learn. There are a lot of facets to learning the virtues.
Your Loving Angels
THOUGHTS FROM BARBARA & TRUDY
The original founders of 12-Step programs have written down what happens when you turn your life over to God. These Promises are for anyone and have nothing to do with a religion or a creed. It may seem like quite an order to work for God and His angels, but The Promises are very clear how our lives will change when we commit ourselves to His work. We have never heard it put better by any group or in any book.
We are going to find a new freedom and a new happiness.
We will not regret the past nor wish to shut the door on it.
We will comprehend the word serenity and we will know peace.
No matter how far down the scale we have gone, we will see how our experience can benefit others.
That feeling of uselessness and self pity will disappear.
We will lose interest in selfish things and gain interest in our fellows.
Self-seeking will slip away.
Our whole attitude and outlook upon life will change.
Fear of people and economic insecurity will leave us.
We will intuitively know how to handle situations which used to baffle us.
We will suddenly realize God is doing for us what we could not do for ourselves.
Are these extravagant promises? We think not. They are being fulfilled among us –
Sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly.
THEY WILL ALWAYS MATERIALIZE IF WE WORK FOR THEM.
