We recently saw the movie “Ray” which inspired us to find out what he had to say from the other side.
Dear Ray, what do you have to say about your experience from that side?
It was too short and it was too long. Traveling from town to town and playing half the night was no life. That is why, I think, I loved so many women and appreciated my fans so much. Since I couldn’t see, I was gifted with the ability to FEEL. That is what I tried to show in my music, and it must have worked because I certainly had a long run of successes.
About being here, it cannot be described in total. I was blind, but now I see colors that cannot be described. Maybe it’s because I am overwhelmed by them, but I think anyone would be overwhelmed no matter what colors looked like on the earth. Everything here is so vivid. The music, too, is more than there. The notes are not only in your ears, they are in your cells. It is like when a bell rings and you are right under it, your body becomes jelly because the noise is so immense inside you. But here there is more subtlety. Even the little quiet notes takes your body and makes it part of the note. You will see when you get here. It is worth the trip and why no one who has tasted the love over here really wants to hurry back. Awesome, and more. Life is hard, but the reward makes it worth it.
